A Bridgerton Ball, Part 2

A most splendid evening, indeed! Tea was spilled, but only the gossip variety. There were dances and cupcakes and lots and lots of lovely pictures!

For this Bridgerton-inspired gown I used McCall’s 7493 and fabric from Fabric Wholesale Direct (crepe-back sating in teal, and an embroidered mesh with a sunflower pattern). I modified the bodice darts to gathers for a bit of extra visual interest and left off the sleeves to make it look more modern. I was rather glad of an excuse for doing this, as puff sleeves don’t really suit me. I also disregarded the skirt pattern as I always do and used a pleated rectangle to achieve a lovely twirly skirt!

Fan, gloves, and peacock feathers from Amazon, hair turban from a vintage scarf, and black flats for “my, uhh (rocks on heels) lightness of foot.”

Another opportunity to dress up and dance can’t come soon enough!
